New Climbing Tower in Bad Dürrenberg Spa Park
We had the opportunity to realise a special project in the spa park of Bad Dürrenberg: on the foundations of a former graduation tower used for salt production, a 12-metre-high climbing structure with a slide has been built, inviting visitors to experience the park from a new perspective.
The climbing tower stands on a former section of a graduation tower that has since been dismantled. Its design reflects the original spatial dimensions of the structure. The result is a striking form that also blends harmoniously into the historic surroundings of the spa park.
Inside the 10 × 10 metre structure is one of our three-dimensional spatial nets, creating different levels that can be explored and climbed in a playful way. Climbers of all ages make their way upwards step by step before sliding back down through a tube slide.
The installation is complemented by various play elements such as Rope Ladders, climbing ropes, Rocking Plates and rubber membranes. These elements can be accessed from the ground, making the play opportunities available to children with different abilities. Beneath the net, Hammocks and Rubber Mats invite children to rest.
A central element of the play equipment is our Berliner Mesh. With this concept, we transform flat nets into three-dimensional play spaces that enable a wide variety of movement and climbing experiences.
The new climbing tower in the Bad Dürrenberg Spa Park offers an attractive spot for exercise, sport and a great view of the park – sure to delight playground enthusiasts of all ages.
